You might think that people in Kyoto have pure Japanese meals everyday and night. Surprising enough, but the consumption of bread in Kyoto is the highest in the nation. Well...if I remember my childhood, I am so convinced. I was a bread-lover indeed! Today, you'll see a lot of bakeries If you walk around Kyoto. The other day, I went to a bread restaurant "Kyoto Sand". They offer sandwiches with fresh ingredient from local suppliers. The menu was all so unconventional and delicious, and the original topping sauce was terrific. I mean, this is Kyoto! It's been said that people in Kyoto are very talented to create new exciting things while keeping tradition. I guess sandwiches has their own way of evolution.
