Sekizanzenin Temple, one of the sub-temples of Hieizan Enryakuji Temple, is said to be protecting the east-north direction of Kyoto with its benefit of driving away evils and disasters.
As shown in the picture below, OMIKUJIs (fortune slips) here are contained in the figure of FULUROKUJU, a corn headed god of happiness, wealth, and longevity. Look at those happy faces!
No matter what the out come of the slip is, FUKUROKUJU figure with happy smile keeps you heart warm!
