Konoe no Itozakura (Droopy-Branch Cherry Tree) at Kyoto Gyoen National Garden

If you ask me, "what is the best spot to enjoy the view of early blooming weeping cherry tree?", I would reply, "please try Konoe no Itozakura (近衛の糸桜) at Kyoto Gyoen National Garden (京都御苑)". It is a graceful view of cherry blossoms beyond imagination.

On the premises of former Konoe (近衛) clan residence, right inside the Imadegawa Gomon (今出川御門, the gate on the Imadegawa street) of Kyoto Gyoen, there are dozens of enormous cherry trees. The place is always crowded with visitors who wish to see the early cherry blossoms.

The view is almost like angels falling from the sky. Please try visit there in spring in YUMEYAKATA Kimono.
